This book was pretty elementary, and also just made me sad most of the time that I will never experience most of the lifecycle events as either a child or parent.

some beautiful and welcoming language in the chapter on conversion, but ultimately I was put off by the Zionism throughout this book.

comprehensive look at liberal (reform, reconstructionist, consevative) jewish beliefs and practices. generally offers a wide selection of options for all aspects of jewish practice.
some aspects are a little out of date, but the book is from the 90s so thats fair.

I went into this book knowing very little and I found that everything was explained so well and so clearly. It's divided into easy to follow chapters so if you just want to dip in and out all over the place it still makes sense! I would definitely suggest this book to anyone that was curious about Judaism!
