One Last Rainy Day was everything I hoped it would be and more. I loved every second of being back in the Ravenhood world, but what truly made this special was getting to see the story through Dom’s eyes. Finally understanding what shaped him, what broke him, and what he was carrying behind that cold exterior made me love him even more. His pain, his loyalty, the moments he let his guard down - it all hit in such a powerful way.

The emotional weight of this book crept up on me and completely wrecked me in the last third. It was raw and honest and beautifully devastating. Kate Stewart has this way of writing that makes you feel everything right alongside the characters and this book is no exception. I laughed, I cried, and by the end I just sat there, emotionally ruined and completely satisfied.

This wasn’t just a bonus for fans of the series. It was a full, heart-wrenching story in its own right. It gave closure, depth, and a fresh perspective that made me want to go back and reread everything with new eyes. I adored it. An easy five stars.

Whoosh whoosh 💔
So many have said that this just a retelling of Flock and part of Exodus. I’m here to say it is not.
While yes, the story time lines are the same, this book gives a whole different perspective and other stories entwined with Flock and Exodus that we didn’t get in those due to them being in Cecelia’s POV.
This book carried its own meaning and my only regret is I didn’t read it sooner.
100% recommend the audio on this whole series. I’ve read and listened, and the Ravenhood books will never get old.

The tears have been constant throughout this book. I’m still devastated that Dom died. I wasn’t ready to start this book months after reading the Ravenhood. It hurt just as bad now as it did then.
“Cracking wide, I bend over her, pressing my forehead to hers, I’m sorry. Feeling the shatter of finality, I press a salty, damp kiss to her temple, my whisper for her ear, my last confession, far, far too late. I love you too, Cecelia. No more rain.”

I knew going in that I was going to be an emotional mess. Even though you know what’s coming, you’re not ready. Pretty sure I cried the last 15% of the book straight.

“Woosh woosh.” 💔
That’s the sound of my heart giving out.

Dominic didn’t just break me... he shattered every last piece I’d glued together from The Finish Line. 😭

Reading his story felt like standing barefoot in a storm, with Kate Stewart ripping open old wounds while whispering, "You asked for this."

The duet narration? Perfection. Every sigh, every pause—Dom felt so real I kept bracing for lightning. ⚡️

I wanted to wrap him up in safety, beg fate for mercy, and maybe slap him a little too.

Kate, you did it again. Another brutal masterpiece wrapped in tenderness. Another punch to my gut—and I’ll gladly take it. 🤌🏻
