Fully suspenseful; I held my breath literally and figuratively the whole time. The characters were complex and well-developed, and there were many meaningful observations about life throughout the events and legal-proceedings of this story.

Meh, would not recommend.
The ending especially. Is that what we're doing to people to make it seem like the righteous have won? Are we really going to have faith in the justice system like this? Whatever.

I liked this book a lot. It was full of difficult conflicts that were super exciting to read. It was hard to really like any of the characters but most of them had an interesting development.
The end was kind of surprising for me (spoiler warning): I'm not happy that Maddie killed Miles. I really hate people like Miles because he's way too dominant, egoistic, dangerous and without any emotions but what Maddie did is just an act of self-justice and I can't morally agree with that. But I'm still kind of happy with the end because it feels like the kids are alright. At least I hope so.

Unpredictable plot twists among the predictable ones, made you think you know what’s coming when you really don’t. Amazing would give it 6 stars if I could.

Pete Riley didn't know when he answered the front door that he would receive news which would change his life forever . Standing there is Miles Lamberts who informs Pete that their sons were switched at birth accidentally. The two families meet and decide that rather than swap the boys back, they'll try to find an amicable way to share their children's lives . All seems to be going well till they decide to sue the hospital - and then the real nightmare begins

Playing Nice by J.P. Delaney is a compulsive read, so hard to put down, full of suspense and tension. An emotional addictive roller-coaster that’s a parents worst nightmare. Highly recommend !

I would like to thank Random House Publishing Group - Ballantine & NetGalley for providing an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest and fair review.
