well this was a rollercoster of a book
I liked it but it was also just ok?
The story definitely captured my attention but the execution was just alright for me. I tried to read it before but for some reason, I DNF'ed it. I do think it's worth the read but it was kind of an average thriller for me.

I love how certain authors will take a realistic situation and spin them into something more sinister and malicious. I felt very anxious the whole time I was reading this. Something like this can happen. Take you from a safe, normal day to day life and just completely turn it upside down. It is truly scary to think about.
Delaney did a great job of character development while also keeping the reader engaged and experiencing times of uncertainty, trying to uncover whose intents were malevolent and whose were not.
I dove in headfirst into this one. Didn’t come up for air much. Now I can relax and say, Oooh...wow. Bravo!

Having read The Girl Before and HATING it, I was not looking forward to reading this for my book club - but as soon as I started it, I literally could not put it down. Read the entire thing in 24 hours. While the ending lacked a fully satisfying conclusion- it was engaging, and a quick easy read that I can’t wait to discuss at book club!
