Matched by Allie Condie mixes a good romance novel with a future, science-fiction world as well as an air of mystery. Cassia Reyes is a teenager living in the Society. Everything is "perfect" - cancer is eradicated, food is sorted and weighed specifically for every person for optimal health, and people are matched with their partners based on factors such as likes and genetic makeup. The event the book is based upon is Cassia and Xander's Matching Banquet. From there, the story has many twists and unexpected characters that make the book well-written.

Ein total tolles Buch! Cassia und Ky sind einfach sooooo süß ! Xander tut mir ein bisschen Leid, aber das gehört nun mal dazu. Wirklich gelungenes Buch !

Very interesting, I love dystopian books and this was perfect for me, can't wait to see the rest of Cassia's story.

Things I liked:

1. The character development with Cassia was great.
2. The writing was quite beautiful.
3. It would have been so easy to write a love triangle into the book. The author didn't do it and I appreciate that.
4. This quote, "There's more to say, but we're learning how to speak. Together we step out of the trees. Not touching. Not yet." Beautiful, poetic lines. I love.

I just felt that it was sometimes slow and it wouldn't work as well as a standalone. It's very dependent on the rest of the books. I know this is part of a series but I still feel that every book should also be able to somewhat stand on it's own.

Overall, I loved the book and I'm interested to know what will happen in the next one.

Buddy read with Audydapotato:)

This book truly was amazing - its government however was NOT.

Really loved the characters, the three MCs are so likeable and honestly everyone is - except the govt.

The author did a really good job of exploring Cassia's emotions and thoughts as she considers her loyalty to the Society and starts to look outside the box they've all been trapped in... it was just: wow, u don't get stuff THIS deep in other dystopians, which I loved.

For some reason I seem to be unintentionally reading books with love triangles (which I mostly DESPISE) but then this one wasn't too bad since Xander and Cassia settled things between each other and tbh the two of them make incredibly good friends, just not a couple:)

Anywayyyy, can't wait to see what happens next!!
