I was waiting for Dev to have his own HEA, his guilt about what happened to his brother broke my heart especially because of the rejection of his own parents.
I like Dev: he never cared for the money, he's a simple man, living a simple life, rescuing horses and enjoying the small town vibes and the wonderful surroundings of Majestic

My main problem with this book was the deep connection that Dev and Tully share: they met 2 years before, hooked up and apparently it was so good that they couldn't stop thinking about each other for all this time.
Maybe it's because we only have little details of that night and we didn't see that happening, but I just didn't feel it. And being continuosly told that there was a connection didn't help.
In my opinion there was much more affection and chemistry between Dev and Foster.

Another issue is Katie's will: I honestly cannot understand why she named Dev as Lellie's guardian since the man didn't even know if the baby was born; all the emails sent to the account Kenji arranged seemed just a way for her to push Dev to get to know the baby, while he clearly said he wanted anything to do with future child/children. Isn't that the purpose of a sperm donation?
Moreover, Dev and Katie's friendship was clearly strained, they lost contact over the years and he said he was doing her a "favour". Why did she think it was a good idea to give her daughter to him? It would have had way more sense for her to name Tully, because he adored Lellie, he's been in her life even before she was born and Lellie loved him; the fact that Tully was too focused on his career to take care of a baby was just bullshit: with Lellie's trust fund he could have hired all the help he needed to raise her.

I'm sad that I couldn't appreciate this story more, but I'll still keep reading this series. Next book will be a rockstar/bodyguard romance, I hope I'll like it more than this one.

What kept this from being a 5⭐️ was the fact that Tully’s brother was so important to him and he was worried about helping pay for college but there was no interaction with the brother. Not even a phone call. It bothered me and I kept thinking oh we will hear from the brother in the next chapter etc. It never did and it bugs me.

“I fell for you the night we met, Tully. But I wasn’t ready for you yet. I am now."

For years, Dev has closed himself off from the outside world. Apart from his friends and his horse, he's shut himself down and stopped letting people in. When he moves to Majestic, Wyoming, a part of himself finally settles and it starts to breathe life back into him. But when an old hookup walks into Majestic and introduces him to his daughter, he has to decide what he wants his future to look like and if it includes the two people he loves from the moment he meets them.

"If there was one thing I knew for a fact, it was that the more time I spent with Devon McKay, the more I wanted him. One small taste had ruined me for two years."

Dev has intrigued me from the moment we met him in Prince of Lies. For someone so young, he's got an old and weary soul and is constantly haunted by his past. But even with all of his family issues, Dev is loyal and loves with his whole heart and when he meets his daughter, Lellie, he gives her everything he has to offer. Though he's willing to do whatever it takes to give her a good life, it takes him a while to realize that the best possible life she can have is if she's with him. That first moment where he acknowledges himself as her father is so precious and I loved it so much.

"The soft and gooey look in her eyes was exactly how I felt at the sight of muscular cowboy Devon McKay gently cradling his baby girl on a playground. It was enough to make me want to have his baby."

But this book isn't all about Dev and Lellie. It's also about Tully, the man Dev compares every other man too even though all they had was one night. The spark between them ignited two years ago and has never dimmed. And once they're back in each other's orbits, it just grows until it's an inferno.

"What I truly wanted was to be soul- deep inside of him, permanently etched like an exquisite tattoo of intricate and loving words wrapped around his heart."

Tully has his own issues to work through. He's just lost his best friend and he has to fight to honor her wishes in regards to her daughter. He's been in Lellie's life since before she was born and loves her like his own kid. He just wants the best for her and along with Dev, he builds a little family that comes to mean everything to him.

"She’d cracked my heart wide and made it impossible for me to hide from the world. Now, I was rooted firmly in the sunlight and thriving."

This book is sweet and emotional with a touch of drama that keeps things interesting. I adored Dev, Tully and Lellie's story. The brotherhood and the people of Majestic rallied around these three and believed in them even when they lost faith in themselves. We also get a hint of what's to come next and I already know Zane's story is going to break my heart. But I've loved every book in this series so far and I know I'm going to love his story too!

All of Lucy's books just keep on getting better every time, and I this one, one of my favourite billionaire boys gets his HEA. A well-deserved  HEA.

I absolutely loved the story of Devon & Tully with Ellie. I love how perfectly Lucy manages to bring out the magic of a small town romance. This book had it own version 0f heartbreak and more than enough love to share as well.

I absolutely loved their story and am looking forward to reading about Zane, Landry & Kenji.

Billionaire romances are not my first choice when it comes to romance books, but I've been enjoying the Billionair Brotherhood series. Mostly because of the strong friendships.

Inheriting Miss Fortune is Dev's and Tully's story, and it has the single dad trope, which always makes me happy.
It does start with a tragedy, though, as Dev gains custody of his daughter, Lellie, after her mom passes away.
When Tully brings Lellie to Majestic to execute the will that put her in Dev's custody, the events of two years ago stir inside both of them.

The story mostly circles around the custody battle and Dev learning to and coming to terms with being a dad. It was bittersweet to see him open up and come out of his shell with his daughter. On the one hand, it's beautiful and heartwarming stepping up without hesitance to take care of her, even if he only plans to do it temporarily at the beginning. But it's also kind of heartwrenching when he struggles with his past and his guilt that makes him feel that he's not good enough for her.

Tully is hesitant about leaving Lellie with Dev at first as he doesn't know much about the elusive man. He's only point of reference is their hook-up a few years ago, and he obviously can't form opinions based on that. He also comes a long way in the book, setting his priorities straight and learning what he is and what he isn't willing to do for his job as an attorney.

The romance in this one is kinda cosy and revolves around Dev and Tully finding their foot together while caring for the 15-month-old baby. On a ranch. In Wyoming. They slowly gravitate towards each other, rekindling the Flame that once burned between them and learning to trust one another. It's actually really sweet seeing the coparent.
The spice was spicing, but with almost all Lennox books, it was just a tad more than I enjoy (in terms of quantity).

The setting in Majestic is the perfect scene for the story. It brings the small-town atmosphere, the ranch vibes, and all the loving people. Dev is forced to relaize that not only are his friends there for him in every situation, but townspeople of Majestic are also on board with him raising the baby.

All in all, the story was sweet with a lot of excitement around the custody battle and a sweet sweet romance. Lellie was a sweet little thing who we could love and Dec and Tully are a sappy pair of men who's romance is definitely satisfying.
