Very applicable to any sport and very quick read for anyone looking for a change up in their traditional reading lineup.

This is one of the most insight-dense books I've read.

Valuable mental tools you can use not just for tennis but other aspects of life. I always loved tennis, but I have not played tennis for years. I do play golf and thought I could use these tools for my golf game as well. There is a version of this book related to golf, but I wanted the classic edition devoted to tennis.

Too much tennis, thought there would be more generally applicable here.
Takeaways:
1. Having stability allows us to have less stress because we know we will always get back to that baseline
2. Stability grows when we learn to accept what we can and cannot control
3. Competition is about the challenge which pushes us to grow and should not be about determining who is “better”

Would recommend to anyone - you don't have to be a tennis player! I read it in relation to performance nerves and found it very insightful and engaging.

I listened to this on audiobook, and I loved it so much that I bought a paperback. There's plenty of tennis advice, sure, but this book is more like a meditation on understanding why a certain mindset is appropriate for sport (and life!). This novel helped me understand that "good" and "bad" are just labels, and if you let your game just BE, you will get so much more out of the experience.

It's such uplifting and life-changing advice that this goes on my favorites shelf.
