Absolutely love this series. It is very life-affirming. Tales of Mma. Ramotswe, a perceptive middle-aged lady who opens the first woman-owned and -operated detective agency in Botswana. This book makes you love all the characters, including Botswana itself.

The story itself was okay. Precious Ramotswe, the main character is very likable and makes an excellent detective. However, I did feel that some parts were a bit jumbled, and that the flashback portions should have been woven into the story better or some parts of it not at all.

I would agree with having this series written by a white man takes away the authenticity and integrity of this work.
