If the goal was to get me interested in African culture, this book succeeded! I enjoyed Mma Ramotswe's character - her love of bush tea & her country, her insight into people, and her tenacious spirit to start a detective agency instead of taking the safe route with keeping the herd of cattle she inherited. Note: This book is written for adults.

I listened to the audiobook version which was well done. It's not really a mystery or a detective novel but more about Botswana, and the day to day life of Precious. Interesting and makes me want to visit Botswana.

What a light hearted book full of wit, comedy, and an overall appreciation for the world that we live. It made me miss Africa and its innocent simplicity.
