Wow. I’d been wanting to read this for so long, and am regretting how long I put it off. Such a great book, love this type of fantasy, where it blends really well with realism. I love how all the dots connect at the end and really wish there was a sequel.

This was a perfectly imaginative and engaging story, but I don't get the hype. It's true the various threads come together, at the conclusion, but it wasn't very satisfying to me. It seemed to me just another variation on the paradox of divine destiny and free will, but not a very enlightening one.
Maybe I lack the right spirituality to discern this book's deep meaning and exhaulted status, cause I don't "get it."
Very good narration on the audiobook, but even at advanced speed this took up a lot of hours for little payoff.

This book was pretty out there but I really enjoyed it. I'll call it 4.5 stars. Defintely struggled at the beggining not knowing what was going on, and author not really helping, but as book continued I got more and more into it.
