The pool section is a chance for the boys to be creepy, but Tadano is sweet as always. Shoko and her dad are precious, and I like how this book explores how it's possible for socially awkward people to be uncomfortable even around family. Yamai is gross as always, but Najimi gets better and better. The festival is a really cute exploration of the evolution of both Shoko's and Tadano's feelings for one another. One of my favorite things about this series is the budding romance because Tadano is kind and considered out Shoko's feelings and respectful of her boundaries. I find that a billion times more appealing than the rapey bad boy trope.

This volume goes through all the clichés of the shoujo, however I really enjoyed it. Komi and tadano friendship is so cute.

I picked this up as part of my continuation of this manga series.
“Komi Can’t Communicate, Vol. 3” continues to follow Komi on her quest to make 100 friends, with the help of her first friend: Tadano. In this volume, summer is finally starting, and once exams are done, Komi is excited to hang out with her classmates outside of school.
I actually really enjoyed this installment! This volume felt much more cute and wholesome than the previous two. Komi still finds herself in some dramatized situations, but the ones in this book felt much more relatable to teenagers. For example, while Komi is trying to study for her exams, the librarian gets upset with students that are too loud. If the librarian thinks a student is being too loud, the student gets thwacked on the head.  Three thwacks to the head, and the student gets thrown out of the library.
I am starting to warm up to these characters, and I am excited to continue with volume four soon!

Holy shit, this was so damn sweet it nearly gave me cavities! The humor was spot-on, the artwork/art style helped elevate the humor, and the interactions between Tadano and Komi were so damn precious! I really do love the little squad of Tadano, Komi, and Najimi. Each one helps Komi in their own way and is helpful in bringing her closer to her goal in their own way. I loved seeing Komi's interactions with her father, it was so cute and hilarious at the same time. The pool and festival chapters, while cliche as fuck, were super entertaining, especially the festival. I can definitely say that I am definitely into the series at this point, can't wait for volume 4!
