Like others from this author. Not bad, but nothing exceptional and the ending is lame

This was a solid kindle unlimited find! I enjoyed the twists and turns the story had. At point it was a bit slow and unrealistic however I felt that the wrap up in the end made up for it. Sometimes thrillers wrap up so unrealistically. I felt this one ended solidly with a palatable ending.

Well don't read this one before Beneath the Devils Bridge like I did because it turns out they're connected :/
One of the best thrillers I have read this year! What a crazy ride!
The story grabbed my interest right from the beginning and it was hard to put it down. Mystery, lies, secrets and jaw-dropping twists. Loved it!
Both main characters – Chloe and Jemma - were so different and so fascinating. At first, I thought I would like Jemma more than Chloe, but it turned out to be the opposite. The author did an amazing job of developing both characters.
This is a well-written, fast paced thriller that’s perfect for long fall evenings. Highly recommend it.
Thank you NetGalley, Montlake and the author for an ARC in exchange for my honest review.

Twisty and clever. The ending, chef’s kiss.
I love how it turned out well for Chloe
and how Jemma end up being miserable, could have been better if she was caught .
Most characters are morally grey, the dancer friend, Gloria, the rich owner of the estate.
It could have been 5 if not for some of the cliche, like Gloria’s character. How impulsive Adam is even if he is a meticulous renounced surgeon.

2.5 stars. It was repetitive, we did not need to hear what Jemma did in the past multiple times and with a full explanation each time. I fell asleep towards the end of the audiobook, so that about sums it up.
