Wow, what an incredible find! The Swimmer is one of those thrillers that you just can’t put down. Loreth Anne White masterfully weaves tension with emotional depth, which makes sense given her romance background. The focus she places on the emotional connections between characters adds an extra layer to the suspense, making the stakes feel even higher.

Chloe Cooper is a fascinating character—socially awkward but with an eye for detail that draws you into her world. Her quiet observations of her new neighbors, Jemma and Adam Spengler, create a slow-building unease that keeps you on edge. I loved how White kept me guessing about everyone’s secrets, and just when I thought I had it all figured out, she’d throw in a twist that had me rethinking everything.

If you’re a fan of thrillers that combine atmospheric settings with complex, flawed characters, this is a must-read. I’m so glad I discovered Loreth Anne White, and I’m already planning to dive into the rest of her catalog!

Not my favorite Loreth Ann White book, but solid. It took a little longer than usual to get truly invested, but the last third of the book was fast paced.
