Garcia Marquez has a magnificent way of using language; the story itself is very intricate yet wonderfully told. Must read in spanish though.

Rimango senza parole.
Immaginavo un libro noioso, tedioso ed ero tentata di non leggerlo nemmeno... Grazie al cielo ho desistito da questa intenzione! Che gravissimo errore avrei fatto!
Sono rimasta incantata già dalle prime parole che ho letto ed andando avanti è stato un crescendo (ci ho solo messo un po' per mancanza di tempo, ma se ne avessi avuto di più lo avrei letto in due giorni!).
Mi sono sentita presa per mano ed accompagnata in una casa piena di polvere e magia. Ho fatto parte di questa strampalata e strana famiglia per cento lunghi anni

Although I know this is objectively a fantastic book, I'd be lying if I said I didn't struggle to get through it at times. Kind of wild how it feels both slow and fast paced at the same time, so much happens so quickly but also it made me feel like I was waiting for something to go down?? Also keeping track of so many different characters with the same name was mentally exhausting. Great ending though, all in all I definitely think it's worth reading
