This book made me realize what I want in the books I read - conflict. I need there to be some obstacles that the MCs have to get over, work through, or even survive. I don't like it when everything just comes together easy as you please. I need angst, drama, and tension. And this book had none of those things. It was well written, and I liked the characters, especially James's family. He is the perfect guy, caring and romantic. He loves his family and knows how to turn on the steam in the bedroom. Sophie is the perfect girl, kind and sassy. She is a hard worker and friendly to everyone she meets. These two are perfect together. The book was their love story, from first meeting to happily ever after. There was a tiny subplot about a nefarious neighbor, but it never got off the ground enough to worry me. If you like books like that, this one is definitely a must-read. But it's not the book for me, and that's okay.

I didnโ€™t totally buy into the relationship and the sex scenes were mostly just ok. Not a horrible read but not for me.

Listed to the audio version. Fun, solid cowboy/small town romance. Love when the FMC is strong willed and holds her own!

Iโ€™m always searching for good reads included in my KU subscription that have a listen option - for those days where I have too much to do to sit down. This one turned out to be great!

๐Ÿ“” ๐—•๐—ผ๐—ผ๐—ธ ๐—œ๐—ป๐—ณ๐—ผ: Buck Wild, the first book in the Bennett Boys Ranch series by Lauren Landish.

๐Ÿ“š๐—ง๐—ฟ๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐—ฒ: Cowboy romance, small town romance, opposites attract.

๐Ÿ“– ๐—ฆ๐˜†๐—ป๐—ผ๐—ฝ๐˜€๐—ถ๐˜€: Sophia is a veterinarian intern cutting her teeth in a small town when she meets James - a hot shot rodeo star home for the summer and helping to run his familyโ€™s ranch.

๐ŸŒŸ ๐—ฅ๐—ฒ๐˜ƒ๐—ถ๐—ฒ๐˜„: Quick and dirty cowboy romance always has my number. And the narrators only made this one better.

James and Sophie were adorable together - the kind of couple you read romance for. Swoony from the start, low drama, and a kick-ass happy ending. The start of a character series always sets the tone, and this one made me hungry for more Bennetts.

The only thing I will say is guys, the spice is spicing. And on audioโ€ฆ maybe your babysitter is the next room over and you canโ€™t mute it quick enoughโ€ฆ so youโ€™ll get embarrassed. Happened to a friend. My advice? Sweet, sweet headphones.
