With the audiobook version, Stephen King said a little something between each story about writing or about how he got the idea. Besides one or two stories I sincerely could not get into, this was a beautiful collection and I will be eagerly awaiting the next one. This man made me enjoy a story about baseball, sport that I cannot -- for the life of me -- understand or appreciate. Strongly recommend this, especially the brilliant performances on the audiobook.

This is the first book I read by [a:Stephen King|3389|Stephen King|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1362814142p2/3389.jpg], and the first of this genre of thriller/suspense type of thing. Honestly, it was really different to what I expected; much more realistic. I truly enjoyed most stories, but, as every collection of short stories, I did not like every single one of them in the same way. My favourites are probably [b:UR|6251012|UR|Stephen King|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1295433746s/6251012.jpg|6433885] and [b:The Little Green God of Agony|15817963|The Little Green God of Agony|Stephen King|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1354887643s/15817963.jpg|21545449]. eSpecially the latter, because it reflects my own vision of people. And what I find good about this book is that every story reflects a different vision of life.

As with any collection of short stories, novellas, and poetry there are ups and downs, and that applies in the Bazaar of Bad Dreams, but overall, it is a great read. There's great horror in here in the form of a story less than 15 pages and there are two very good novellas that go over 100 pages. There are definitely some duds (Mister Yummy and the two poetry outings) but short stories like A Death, Morality, and Under the Weather are unique gems. I really enjoyed Blockade Billy as a baseball fan and UR was a really fun read as a big literary nerd and someone who appreciated the Dark Tower references. The unmentioned stories are good not great.

I did a mix with this book, reading it and listening to the audio book. Hearing Stephen King read each introduction was cool and hearing the stories made them so much creepier, especially "Bad Little Kid". This was a great short story collection and now I want to read more of them.

I've always been a bigger fan of King's novels than his stories. His collections are always a mixed bag, with really good work (like "Herman Wouk Is Still Alive" and "Summer Thunder") alongside some pretty weak stuff (like "Bad Little Kid" and "The Little Green God of Agony").

Really good. I am normally not a short story guy....but I am a huge King fan. While not as satisfying as an epic 800 page novel, this was still entertaining and easy to read at your own pace.
