This was an entertaining collection with several memorable stories but I didn't love all of them. Average rating puts this at 3.5 stars. If you love King this is worth the read.

I've only been reading in the evenings and I often fall asleep so it took me much longer to read this than usual. I guess I've fallen off the reading band wagon. Some of these stories have shown up in other collections, but what I appreciated about this collection was that Stephen King gave a little bit of an introduction to each one. He talked about the inspiration for the story and, in some cases, he added some information about the author that inspired a certain tone or writing style. I'll admit there was a part of me that wanted all new stories while still enjoying hearing from my long time "friend" Stephen King.
Not my favorite short story collection by King, In fact of the ones i’ve read I’d probably rank it towards the bottom. The stories eventually felt a little same-y too me, but at the same time it had some really solid entries.

There are a few short stories here that I love, but in my opinion King's at his best with a full length novel.
***These are my random thoughts after finishing the book. Some of the thoughts are an overall review of the book, or any questions/feelings that nagged at me throughout. There will almost definitely be spoilers. Read at your own risk.*** ‐----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
3.5 stars down
Some stories are definitely better than others (thought-provoking)
Liked the little prologues before each story
Favorites: Bad Little Kid, Ur, Summer Thunder (Gandalf

A great example of a set of stories that should have stayed in the "no" pile. If any author but stephen king put these together, the publisher would totally ignore them. But since idiots like me need a book at the airport and forgot to bring one, they know SOMEONE will buy the dumb thing.
just terrible.
