Broken Prince may be my favorite book out of all three. We get to know Reed a lot better as well as love him. I simply adored his interaction with Ella and how, even if they weren't together for the totality of the book, their chemistry was off the charts, leading me to root for them so damn much.
These two must be one of my "I'll-die-shipping-this" couple.
The ending left me reeling and swamped with all the feels, because WHAT THE HELL, but it's all right because I got to read Twisted Palace right after and my blood-thirst was quenched.
I know this review is not one of my usual long, analytic ones but it's been a while since I read this and I'm afraid I'd stomp on a spoiler big time. He-he. No one wants that.
So I'll just say that this is one of my favorite NA (it's NA, right?) trilogies. It's over-dramatic, yes, and kind of a guilty pleasure, because this almost cinderella kind of things does not happen in real life. Yet I loved it. I loved the angst, I loved the characters and how messed up they all are. I even loved the dominion the Royals have over the school and how surreal it is, but all together, it built this incredible novel which had me hooked from page one of the first book.
I read the whole trilogy in a two-three days span and it gave me the worst/best book hangover ever.
So if you missed this trilogy for whatever reason, be sure to check it out and prepare to be Royally Ruined!

I totally guessed what happened with Brooke but at the last sentence I guessed it during the description of the person but I wasn't expecting that part of the story to happen. The last book is going to be a jaw dropper

Ich war ja schon von Paper Princess restlos überzeugt und begeistert und wollte unbedingt wissen, wie es weitergeht. Ich meine Reed hat mich schon im ersten Teil magisch angezogen und fasziniert. Ich war also mehr als neugierig, ob und wie er Ella zur Rückkehr bewegen wollte. Erin Watt setzt direkt wieder an der Handlung an, ohne große Vorrede ist man mitten im Geschehen. Das hat mir außerordentlich gut gefallen. Ich stürzte mich also in die Geschichte und stellte erfreut fest, dass es auch einen Handlungsstrang aus Reeds Sicht gibt, was ich großartig fand. Denn auf diese Art habe ich viel mehr über seine Gedanken und Gefühle erfahren und auch über sein Leben vor Ella.
Reed ist ein außergewöhnlicher Charakter, der nach Außen überaus stark wirkt, aber in diesem Teil kommt eben auch seine weiche Seite zum Vorschein. Er hat mir bei manchen Szenen fast richtig leidgetan. Aber trotz aller Umstände verliert er sein Ziel nicht aus den Augen. Die Familie lernt man auch besser kennen und gerade die Freundin des Vaters ist mir hier richtig unsympathisch geworden.
Dieser Band ist höchst rasant und ich konnte mich dem Sog nicht entziehen. Ich musste einfach immer weiter lesen. Bei manchen Reihen erlebt man ja, dass der zweite Teil schwächer ist, hier jedoch nicht. Es ist spannend, hat eine große Portion Gefühl und am Ende einen Cliffhanger, der einem den Atem nimmt. Ich war regelrecht mit den Nerven am Ende und verzweifelt, als ich dieses Buch zuklappte. Ich hatte mit vielen gerechnet, aber nicht mit einem derart heftigen Cliffhanger. Die Wartezeit auf Band 3 erschien mir regelrecht unmenschlich lang und ich bin mehr als gespannt auf das Finale.

I have to day that I prefer the first novel more than this one but I am definitely going to finish off this trilogy. I found that this story was a little more monotonous than the first in the series and although there were many plot twists, most were easy to predict. Still a fun read that is like a soap opera with all the entertaining drama and catfights, but don't expect depth from this series.
well this book is a page tuner and you will not be able to put it down. the last book ending had you dying to read the next book and it will not disappoint you. it will have you falling deeper in love with all of the character. this book will play with your emotions like no other. the last 3 chapters will have you on the edge of your seat if you were not already. i had to reread the ending 2 or 3 times to make sure i understood everything. this is a must read.
