It is difficult to write anything new on Marx's Capital. Still, there is no better introduction to the critique of capitalist society from the perspective of human labour. It is not an easy read, as evidenced by the fact that the content of the book can be interpreted in a variety of different, often mistaken, ways - as some of the commentaries here show.

Understanding Marx's text today can be facilitated by other books. However, these differ in their understanding of some of the theoretical parts. One of these books, for example, is [a:Michael Heinrich|304816|Michael Heinrich|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1652045134p2/304816.jpg]'s [b:An Introduction to the Three Volumes of Karl Marx's Capital|13328339|An Introduction to the Three Volumes of Karl Marx's Capital|Michael Heinrich|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1375061502l/13328339._SX50_.jpg|18535606].

Jednou z týchto kníh je napríklad prístupným jazykom napísaná [b:An Introduction to the Three Volumes of Karl Marx's Capital|13328339|An Introduction to the Three Volumes of Karl Marx's Capital|Michael Heinrich|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1375061502l/13328339._SX50_.jpg|18535606] od [a:Michaela Heinricha|304816|Michael Heinrich|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1652045134p2/304816.jpg]. As someone who considers myself a Marxist, I’m glad I read it. However, I didn’t enjoy myself. Although 60% of Volume 1 is really interesting core development of the Labor theory of value, Marx’s tendency to speak in circles for pages upon pages, and his mixing of theory with what boils down to data analysis, provided for a dense read that took five months to complete.
