I loved how this story expanded on Roger. He got a lot of great development here. Hellboy really shines here too, particularly in the struggle of the detonator in Roger . I liked that this story just focused on Hellboy and Roger. The concept of the worm was pretty cool. Lobster Johnson was a good addition to the story. I also liked seeing Hecate again in her iron maiden form . I loved how Mignola drew ghosts in this story.

Easily the best in the series so far. Conquerer Worm is a huge Hellboy experience which transforms book 1 from a Lovecraft love letter into something that makes total sense in the context of the world. The characters are solid in this and it gives a lot of screen time to other awesome heroes such as Lobster Johnson. I'm glad I stuck with the series because everything in this book was awesome.
I like the double act of Hellboy and Roger the Homunculus. They have a nice dynamic, like a couple of grizzled old detectives.
This story picks up some threads that were dropped in earlier volumes and in many ways it feels like the conclusion of a larger story arc, as well as the beginning of a new one.
As always Mike Mignola's art is amazing, and I'm sad knowing that he eventually moves away from that aspect of Hellboy. Looking forward to what comes next though.

All you need to know about this volume is that it's a return to Vol. 1 & 2 long form story advancing Hellboy's mythology, with Nazis and a character called Lobster Johnson.

This is the best Hellboy book, in my opinion. It focuses on one story throughout and does a really good job with it. Mignola does a really good job of bringing a lot of the stuff from earlier in the series together, such as the homunculus, von Klempt, Rasputin, etc...
This book, of course, looks really good and the story is epic and interesting the entire time.
This is the start of Hellboy's vacation, which was recently ended, so we will see if they continue with this level of quality.
