A friend of mine has been a fan of this series for years and I finally decided to give it a try. I was surprised how much fun this book was to read! The mixture of fluff, smut, adventure, and humor is a slam dunk. After spending the past month in the trenches of reading dark romances, it’s so refreshing that the lead couple actually likes each other.
I’m not normally a fan of science fiction (particularly because the intense world building can be so overwhelming when starting a new series), but the gradual build up of the story makes this novel’s setting an easy one to explore and get lost in.
TL;DR: Loved it and downloading book 2 as I type
Graphic: Sexual assault, Violence, Death, Kidnapping, Physical abuse, Confinement, Injury/Injury detail, and Sexual content
Moderate: Excrement
Minor: Abortion, Slavery, and Suicidal thoughts

In the beginning with the abduction of the girls and then the rape of one of them, I very nearly stopped reading because I wasn't sure I wanted to deal with that type of story. Thankfully it didn't continue, and by the time everyone crash landed on the ice planet, it turned more into a survival story with a bit of smut included. I think I mostly stayed bc the aliens in this story weren't horrible.
There were some points of convenience, but it got the story through what it was meant to be. So yknow, good enough. I knew what I was signing up for.
Solid 3/5, just average and a good thoughtless time

Also, please find me a man (or alien) who treats me like Vektal treats Georgie cause sis SAME, I would take that glowing tapeworm for him as well.
Please be mindful of the trigger warnings in the beginning of the book. It goes from really dark to sunshine but please protect your mental health first.

It is such a weird book, though. The whole story here is just crazy; it's a wild ride. I can't get enough of this book. I'm curious about the rest of the series because I don't know how far this series can go without getting repetitive unless there's some new angle that comes into play. So I will do a series review on my blog, and we'll see how far I get in the series because I feel like once it gets repetitive, I'll get bored with it. But we'll see how this goes.

Georgie is abducted by aliens and drugged and kidnapped to be sold to another species along with a bunch of other women. They are confined together in a cell and have a bucket to use the bathroom in. Some of the women are raped by their captives for screaming, not the MC though so it is not as descriptive. The cell gets stranded on an ice planet and Georgie is saved by a native on the planet.crinkledmochi's review against another edition
