i seriously thought i was smart and then freida mcfadden said: think again! she has a way of hoodwinking me when i least expect it. that being said, i am not surprised per say at the ending and how the book/story unraveled. i thought, “okay, makes sense.” but personally, what docked it .5 a star was that i didn’t necessarily like brooke, the female protagonist. homegirl made me anxious with all of her horrible decisions!! either way, i was entertained.

FMC is infuriating, often saying the right thing to do and blatantly disregarding it and doing the stupid alternative. In addition to her ability to be gaslit by everyone, including herself, she lacks
Always go into a Freida book accepting the boundaries of feasibility, but this time the Queen of Redundancy (and boy did she like to repeat herself in this book) asked the reader to stretch too far. It’s not feasible, but rather a farce.

I think I’m going 4.25.
I don’t know how I feel about this. It was good enough that I read it in one day, and yet somehow I’m left a little disappointed at the ending. It was a great twist! Twists everywhere!! But I do think
Also I don’t believe for one second that anybody is taking their ex back after having been wrongfully accused of murder.
BUT
That bit at the end about
