Just couldn't get into it unfortunately. Love the Expanse series but this just didn't do it for me.

Richly developed characters struggle in an even more richly detailed world.
A well-told coming-of-age story on its own, Age of Ash is all the better for the promise of more. The future additional books covering the same time period from other characters' vantage points are enticing because Daniel Abraham has created a world so believably beautiful and flawed. Starting from a street thief's perspective was an interesting choice; I anticipate a lot of surprises in character motivations.

I had a really hard time getting into this. The last quarter or so was the best.

This was a fantastic read that I could barely put down. Great setting that was detailed just as much as it needed to be. Excellent characters with some subtle subversion to my expectations. Definitely looking forward the following books in this trilogy.
