Il y a des classiques qui traversent les années sans prendre vraiment une ride.
Moi qui déteste lire le théâtre, j'ai pourtant été charmée par cette pièce-ci. Dynamique, drôle, joliment écrite, avec de beaux effets de langue, je comprends qu'on puisse aimer et adorer Cyrano de Bergerac.
Même l'histoire, pourtant assez banale dans le registre, est un régal à suivre. Et je dois avouer que malgré moi, j'ai versé ma petite larme.
Il y a des classiques qui méritent d'être lus et aimés, la fameuse pièce d'Edmond Rostand en fait indéniablement partie.

Die Liebe erinnert sehr an die unerwiderte und unerschöpfliche Minne-Liebe eines dienenden Ritters für seine, für immer unerreichbare, Minnedame.
Es schwang ein gewisser Unterton mit, den ich nicht benennen kann, aber er gefiel mir definitiv nicht.
Ich kann die Vertonung von Reclam empfehlen für ein einfacheres Verständnis.

surprisingly, this was really good.
i say "surprisingly" because the first act literally took me MONTHS to get through. and then suddenly, not sure how, i became invested in the story of these characters. i began to root for cyrano and roxanne, and was cheering for their romance. i was entertained by the witty lines rostand included in the story. i was surprised because i went from hating and being bored by the first act to thouroughly enjoying everything else.
