Is this a juvenile chapter book? Yes but I read it out loud to my three year old sister per her request and it countsšŸ˜‚ Charlotte’s thoughts ā€œI don’t like that book, too many words.ā€ I did in fact warn her and show her multiple times that it was a chapter book with not many pictures, she insisted we read it anyway.

I liked the ending

The ending was a little rushed, but this is a literal children’s book so I will forgive it. This was my favorite one so far the vibes were immaculate. Silvermist and Fira ATE. Also Silvermist is better than everyone there I said it argue with the wall.

This is one of my favorites so far.

The story about Silvermist and her supposed curse is one of the stronger Pixie Hollow Chapter Books. Silvermist is a calm, balanced protagonist who approaches problems very concious-minded. Accordingly, her little adventure shows us that people (or even more likely fairies) like her can also get involved in dramatic circumstances that can still be resolved in the end. The way the protagonist and her friend Fira go about breaking the curse was what I liked best in this book.

Nevertheless, the premise of the plot is not particularly innovative. Stories about the placebo effect in relation to superstitions abound, so just by reading the blurb you know which stages the plot will take. The Pixie Hollow setting ensures that there is always something to discover, but ultimately it is decoration that tries to disguise an idea that is too bland in my opinion.
Silvermist herself doesn't go through a lot of personal growth. Rather, a surprising commotion breaks out around her, but it only unsettles her for a short time before she finds her way back to herself.

Overall, I still recommend the Pixie Hollow Chapter Books for super short cravings for beautiful worlds and slow-paced stories with fairy dust, but you shouldn't approach them with the expectation of reading highly exciting masterpieces.
