I don’t deal well with misogynistic male love interests, especially when the society they live in is equally misogynistic. So the first two thirds of this book was a nightmare. If I hadn’t been really sold on the concept of this series I absolutely would have DNF’d this one. 

All that said, the HEA in this book was nearly worth the pain it took to get there. I appreciated how specific this HEA was to the love interests!

recommended listening track while reading this series: girls just wanna have fun

But she had long ago resigned herself to the fact that she could not single-handedly change the world. At best, she could protect her small corner of it.
