*** June 2023 ReRead - Silo is solid. Honestly. I did a reread because I couldn’t remember things that were happening in the show (the show and book are wildly different in pacing but the content translates the same) and I was just so happy to read this again!
Love the world, love the characters, love the mystery!
***
There is a lot to be said about this book, but I doubt I could say it all. Slow pacing but for the right reasons, the world built here is one I can’t wait to read more about!

A real audio page-turner. Well fleshed out world and believable characters.
Took minor issue with some of the writing style, including particular tropes (e.g. someone’s “attractiveness” - weight, crooked teeth and tiny hands being used to indicate they’re nefarious ).
If you wish this were substantially more dark I recommend Jacqueline Harpman’s I Who Have Never Known Men

A good story where I liked how multiple characters are described and followed in depth. Looking forward to continuing to read the follow on books.
