I came into this book not really knowing much about it. I enjoyed that you are just kind of dropped into the book, not knowing all the details or backstory all at once. Great story and has a few twists that are unexpected. The chapters are pretty short, so you feel like you make fast progress through the book. I know that annoys some people and doesn't bother others, but I don't think many of the chapters were more than a handful of pages (a few were as short as a page).

Not quite what I expected, but in this case it turned out to be a good thing. This was a fast read for me, I didn't want to put it down.
This apocalyptic/zombie novel is close to brilliant. There's intense graphic violence, there's suspense and terror, there's science that sounds plausible to this nonscientist, there's mother/daughter love, there's a hint of romantic love, there's hope, and there's despair. It's wonderful!
Perfection. Absolute horror story perfection. That audiobook is wonderful and highly recommended.
