I really love the concept- with it having been written and published in chapters I can see how it would have been very impressive

It is a really good story, but unfortunately I preferred the excitement of the story in the bbc adaption from 2022 with David Tennant- quite a different story

But when I don’t compare the two it is a very impressive and exciting story :) and I really love the twist at the end

with the eastward/ westward concept- “a day unconsciously gained”

I wish I had read it before watching the bbc adaptation…

The gas thing with Passepartout is so funny to me- I love that little detail

Certi aspetti, a rileggerlo oggi, sono veramente da unghie sulla lavagna, stile avviso prima della visione su HBO, ma insomma, sono figli del loro tempo. La storia, però, è molto coinvolgente e tutti i passaggi in cui descrive i luoghi sono affascinanti, seppur anch'essi datati. Mia figlia di quattro anni e mezzo ha apprezzato, tenendo comunque conto che ho semplificato per lei le descrizioni più incasinate e ho girato attorno a certe robe che preferisco non senta, almeno per ora.

It sped up near the end, so I found myself actually wanting to read it. It was tedious at times, but wasn't too bad for a book that is as old as it is.
