I’m so surprised people are not marking this book 3+ stars. I thought the book was hilarious. However, I did listen to the audiobook. The narrator was brilliant. The perfect choice for all the characters. I even purchased a physical copy for me and friends. Moderate profanity. Mild sexual content.

Thank you Edelweiss for the opportunity to read this in advance of publication!

I really wanted to love it as Jenny Colgan is one of my go-to authors, but unfortunately it wasn't meant to be. As a 90s kid, I was really looking forward to some nostalgia, but the 90s theme seemed minimal. And I'm entirely sold on the Holly/Finn/Addison connections. I found Josh and Kate irritating. The whole flower shop and crew did not really enhance much. There were a few risque parts, but overall the story didn't flow and was awkward. Still love Jenny Colgan though!!!

What the heck did I read??? The beginning was pretty good, but the second have just went right off of the rails. It all just didn't make sense. I only continued because i was listening to the audiobook.

I usually really like this author and there were several parts I laughed aloud, but this storyline was really bad.

Pretty annoying.

Ok another fail from her. Usually I love her but this one sucked!!!! What happened to her lovable characters?

4.5 out of 5. Lots of laugh out loud moments! I enjoyed this a lot more than I was expecting. It's a lot funnier than the other Jenny Colgan books I've read and I got through it much faster too (great pacing and flow!). Although I did get annoyed with how much Holly was obsessed with Addison (or rather, the idea of him), she did make up for it in moments where she acted sincere and caring towards him, like a normal friend. I loved the relationship between Holly, Josh, and Kate. Holly and Kate are frenemies but, ultimately, they are there for each other. All 3 friends are sensitive to each other's moods and there are times when they are just so cute! Especially Josh. He was very confused indeed. And I really liked how inclusive they all were as flatmates and how they encouraged each other; although, I did wish they would have more strongly discouraged each other when it was obvious one of them was about to do something very stupid. Overall, I enjoyed this very much!

Another great book by Colgan. Loved the 90’s setting. Loved the snarky main character. It went a little dark near the end, but it finished up strong. I like it a lot.

While You Were Sleeping with a purely Jenny Colgan twist. The outrageousness and the hilarity were almost too much. I made the mistake of listening to this at the gym, and I nearly suffocated from trying not to laugh and have people think I was crazy.
