A completely different take on 'Royal' romances.
This is book #1 of a fast paced duet. It is jammed full with
Intrigue
Murder
Mystery
and
Suspense

Very well written.
The only reason it didn't get 5 stars is there were two instances I felt could have used a bit more detail and emotion. It would have helped to connect with what was happening at that time.

The main characters, Everly and Henry, grab your attention and reel you into their lives.
Their relationship develops relatively quickly, but it is not 'Insta-Love'.
It is erotic and sensuous. It is physical and complicated. It is hot, steamly and deliciously 'Adult''

I was completely drawn in from the beginning and could not quit reading. A really fun and exciting read with virtually non-stop action.

I can't wait to get my hands on book 2 of this duet, [b:The Rebel Queen|47107577|The Rebel Queen (The Rebel Queen Duet, #2)|Jeana E. Everly McElroy has been burned enough by men she was not to surprised to find out the man she was seeing was up to no good as well. However his bad behavior lead her to catching the eye of Prince Heinrich of Androvia. At the time she has no idea who he is but when he learns who she is he is out to capture the woman who has held his interest for far to long.

New to me author. This story had a spark that did not let up throughout. The chemistry between Everly and Henry is electric. I was completely enraptured with this one, look forward to more.

This book was way more twisty than I thought it was going to be. I went in thinking it was going to be just a royal romance, but I was very wrong. From the start it captured my attention and I read it in one sitting. Both Henry and Everly are so jaded and have so many trust issues that is easy to see why they guard their hearts, but they do know deep down that there is more to this relationship than they are putting out there. They both fear that the other will get inside their hearts and eventually break it. I cannot wait until the next book so I can see how this all plays out.

Finished reading this in half a day. Honestly I picked this because of the cover which is really stunning and the book was fast and short. I didn't expect much from it but I actually liked Everly and Henry's character although very little was described here that could have made me into them more. But still it was a good and fast read. Maybe book 2 will have more content and it'll have pages and story at least, I feel like it could've been completed in one book but I'm willing to wait for the next book and to wait for the story. But I gotta say the chemistry was something that makes me want to wait for the sequel. Just hope this doesn't turn into typical fifty shades. UNTILL then!

I feel like there was a lot going on in this story, maybe even too much. That being said I still plan to read book two, so I must have liked it well enough.

Arranged marriage. Royalty. Over the top corrupt political moves. Some hot and steamy times in and out of a sex club. I’ll let you know how book two goes.
