Not the biggest fan of the artwork, but the writing was really good, particularly the added context for why Daredevil’s costume was originally yellow before switching to red. Touching stuff here.

I read this for comic book club, but it wasn't my cup of tea.

Jeph Loeb is definitely the best comic book writer right now, and his take on Daredevil is simply amazing. Tim Sale art creates the perfect atmosphere, inspiring in the reader the nostalgia and sadness of Matt Murdoch with a style that feels fresh and modern at the same time it faithfully follows the style of the golden age of comics.

The story is a great introduction to the character, not only narrating the main events in Matt's life that lead him to become Daredevil but also developing his psyche, as only Jeph Loeb knows how to do.

Good enough I guess, but the story is never as pretty as the design and it leans too heavily on the creative team’s past triumphs to really make a strong impression.

Trong hai Daredevil's origin story thì [b:Daredevil Legends, Vol. 3: The Man Without Fear|59973|Daredevil The Man Without Fear|Frank Miller|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1328040061s/59973.jpg|295766] vẫn hay hơn. Nhưng Daredevil: Yellow cũng không phải là sự lựa chọn tồi. Art đẹp, plot ổn, và bạn được biết thêm chút ít về một người phụ nữ quan trọng trong đời của Matt Murdock.

The early days of Daredevil. Really well done. Great art and color.

Daredevil is a bit of a “morose downer,” so it’s nice to see him in a less complicated world. The Yellow Suit Daredevil didn’t last long, but that era did establish a lot of what made Daredevil Daredevil.

Better than Loeb and Sale’s Gray. Not as good as “The Long Halloween.”

Matt Murdock sends a letter to his and his partner Foggy's Secretary to tell her about why he became Daredevil and the reason he couldn't tell her certain things. She was his love and he lost her. I really liked the illustrations and the characterisations. A good Daredevil read.

This is a different Daredevil comic. It's a diary of sorts, and an origin story of sorts. This is a mellow Daredevil writing a love letter to Karen Page after her tragic demise, an explanation of why he took up the Daredevil persona and why he changed his costume from yellow to red. It is also an ode to an inexistent version of the Golden Age of comics. There is almost no action and no page-turning mystery. And Tim Sale's art goes perfectly with Jeph Loeb's text.
