eh just didn't grab me on any level.

The story was good, but I didn't care for the way this book was written. Its divided between first person perspective and third person omniscient point of view, which was confusing at times. The movie is out, I think in this rare case I'll like that better.

I needed a page-turner that didn't require extensive powers of concentration. This fit the bill just fine.

Possibly dead or missing wife? Being stalked and uncovering an 8-year-old conspiracy in the building? This had all the makings of a solid mystery thriller. I loved how the story suddenly escalated from 0 to 100 out of nowhere—it kept me on my toes. Even though I wasn’t overly attached to the characters, I was genuinely hooked by the unfolding events.

I would’ve rated this book higher bc the plotting is good, but calling an Asian character ‘the Asian guy’ 50+ times instead of using his name? What is this, the 1940s racist America?

Listened to this while dog walking. Not as gripping as some of the others. A bit thin on plot and I didn't care about most characters. Not sure that I bought the reveal, either.

Interesting storyline

This seemed like it was going to be very formulaic in the beginning, but ended up being better than I expected.
