Read this ages ago and re-read it recently. I just saw that there are more in the series!
This was a good series! I love how they fused the fantasy with mystery. It was like having two types of books in one.
I was a little frustrated with the disconnect between the Angels and God. It made them come off more like lost souls than angels, because they basically had to haunt the people who loved them in order to figure out their mission. But it made for some very funny dialogue between Tristan and Lacey. I liked the mystery aspect of it, because the author made you repeatedly question who you thought the bad guy was.

so brilliant. Typical plot but the writing puts so much emotion into it you can't help but fall in love with it.

Overall, this book has a great storyline. I just feel like the author did herself a disservice by splitting this story into three individual books. Stopping at the end of one and beginning the other was unnecessary. The endings and beginnings were fluid, but I found it annoying to read the repetitive details, which would have been avoided if the story wasn’t split.
