While Voyager still holds as my favorite in this series so far this book broke my heart. So much goes on in this beast of a book. Now, having already watched Season 5 of the tv show I was prepared for some of the events that take place but there were still so many that just knocked the wind out of me. At times I didn't think my heart could take anymore. I just wanted to reach into the book and give some of my favorite characters a big hug. And that ending...I am still processing what this means for everyone.

Do I think it needs to be a 1,400 page book, no? But was I able to put the book down for the last 500 pages or so? Absolutely not. For me, it had a lot of the same magic of Outlander #1 with the adventure and relationship between Claire and Jamie, but now you have supporting characters that feel less like props in the Outlander universe. Yes, I think because of the length there is some repetitiveness, but I still really enjoyed it. It was infinitely better than Outlander #5, in my opinion.

I love this series. I love revisiting favourite books/ series. I have a jar with all my favourite reads written on pieces of paper, and every once in a while I will reach into the jar and pull out a random piece of paper and read whatever is listed on it. It's my book lottery. I have read this series so many times over the years, and whenever a new installment came out, I would re-read the previous books and then the new one. I remember reading this book for the first time. That was many years ago now, but this story still captivates me the same way, each and every time. This is one of those classic and timeless tales. Wonderful, sublime, and entirely enchanting!!!!

Yes!
