This book reads like a Korean drama set in San Diego. But not like someone who actually lives in San Diego. Someone who moved here as an adult and desperately scours yelp every weekend to find the most fun things to do. It is impossible to have a bonfire at Torrey Pines.... but it is fun to have a San Diego based book. Hope it becomes a Netflix show or a movie.

I know Jacob Kim is supposed to be a K-drama star. But the guy on the cover looks very similar to Matsumoto Jun to me.

Maybe this is a sign that i've grown out of YA...the characters felt really caricaturised and the writing style was not for me. The main thing that did it for me was that I was not a fan of FL. At all.

It was very cute for the story! I wasn't expecting YA, but seeing their love bloom was very adorable. I probably would've loved this when I was younger.

Relatable, fun, exciting, cute, delightful, validating, sweet

Seoulmates is exactly as comforting as I thought it would be when I opened it up and read Susan Lee’s author note. I read nearly the entire thing in one sitting because I just couldn’t put it down. Susan Lee builds such a sweet romance and a main character that truly speaks to my heart. I’m so honored and validated to have a character like Hannah in the world. The story itself hits all the right beats that I hope for in a romance and I can’t recommend it enough.

Quick Summary: Life is going all according to plan for Hannah Cho until her boyfriend Nate breaks up with her at a party. In her crumbling life, the last person she wants to see if her ex-best friend, Jacob Kim. But at the worst time possible, Jacob’s coming back to town. And because their moms are best friends, they are all staying in the same house. When blackmail, a bucket list, and two meddling mothers come into play, it seems Hannah and Jacob are in for a K-drama worthy summer

ended up enjoying this one. definitely a lighthearted YA. if you’re a fan of the summer i turned pretty and k dramas you’d def like this one. my only qualm was the brief explicit sexual scene since i prefer my YA books no spice
