1 star for the writing and the author’s effort. I honestly want to give this book negative stars if that is even possible. The plot is shit. The H doesn’t have any backbone and the h is a fool with no backbone either.

DNF at 70%, not my cuppa tea, I've never really been able to get into mafia books, this one starts off with Mia and Vince, she witnesses something she shouldn't and is drawn into the mob family. So Mia is convinced to stay at with Morelli family, the head being Mateo. She shares a room with Vince but doesn't realise Mateo is slipping into her bed, she presumes is Vince, Mia is coming across as very naive, would you seriously not realise it wasn't your boyfriend you were having sex with??
Yeah this so isn't my cuppa tea, all the mafia romances I've ever read come across as cold and no emotion, give me a biker Mc romance any day.

I'm obsessed
By 2% in t this book consumed me. I was in love and in hate page by page and now I'm going immediately into the next one. I'm in love with mobsters.

Good but I feel like the fmc had more chemo with mateo. Excited to read his book as I feel this one didn’t give much substance to the mmc

As a book, it was okay and started a big obsession for me.
As a series, BUCKLE IN. This is the beginning of a long haul with all kinds of drama but one of my favorite mafia couples of all time.

Cute
Cute. Not what I’d consider dark. This was a light fluffy mafia book. I’ve been reading mafia romances for years and this was a short light read. It somewhat flowed well. Not sure I’d continue this series. I need more detailed writing. More action. More emotion out of characters.

Untouchable completely blew me away and I was tempted to re-read it right after I finished it, but I decided that I should read some of Ms. Mariano’s other books instead. I chose Accidental Witness and I went into figuring that it wouldn’t be able to take Untouchable’s place as my favorite and I was right. That doesn’t mean that I didn’t love it, though because I did. It sucked me in, had me gasping, and gave me a lot of different feels. Accidental Witness was an excellent read and introduction to the Morelli family — I’m looking forward to seeing more of them.

More of a prequel slash introduction to the world than a fully-fledged standalone, really.
Thing is, I was way more invested in Mia and Mateo than I was in the relationship between her and Vince, who was kinda passive and not all that appealing.
Also, I'm not quite sure about that eyebrow-raising one-eighty...
In the end, Mia became more of a stand-in than a character in her own right, with her POV serving to further Mateo's story more than anything; a look at what he was like before he finds "the one” in future installments.
At least, that's my understanding.
Probably why there’s this lingering feeling of dissatisfaction, slight but there…
Guess I’ll have to keep reading to see if this approach pays off.
