Maybe a little wordy for a younger storytime, which is too bad because it's gorgeous and wonderful. A story about sea creatures and also saying goodbye to old friends and places and hello to new things.
This was a great children's book. Hermit crab has to find a new home and travels throughout the sea month by month adding more sea creatures to his shell. It teaches about different sea creatures, and more abstractly about the passage of the year. My child loves this book. The illustrations are lovely as well!
One of my most favorite children's books, and so glad my little one seemed to like it too. I love the story so; the world isn't such a scary place when you've got friends by your side.
