My friend suggested this as a โpallet cleanserโ of sorts as this author has quick thrillers that are fun. Reading this I thought it was going to be average. I was intrigued and wanted to know why in the world the husband was doing what he was doing. Then I got to what I thought was the big reveal and it was pretty good. Yetโฆthe book still had several more chapters. Waitโฆwhat is going on? Then it happened. The twists of all twists. It took this book from average to really really great. It got me! My flabbers were ghasted! ๐๐ป๐๐ป โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

This was such a crazy listen. From beginning to end I was invested, I had to know what was going to happen. So many twists I didnโt see coming. The narrators do a good job bringing these characters to life. Would definitely recommend if youโre looking for a fast paced, psychological thriller with tuns of twist.

Megan thinks that she has the perfect husband and the perfect life. Craig works so that she doesn't have to, leaving her free to relax all day in their beautiful and secluded country home.
But when she starts to long for friends and purpose again, Megan applies for a job in London, much to her husband's disappointment. She thinks that he is upset because she is unhappy. But she has no idea.
After Megan goes against his wishes and attends the interview, Craig decides that it is time to act. Locking her away in their home, Megan realises that her husband never had her best interests at heart, nor did they meet by accident.
Craig has been planning this from the start.
As Megan is kept shut away from the world with only somebody else's diary for company, she starts to uncover the lies, the secrets and the fact that she isn't actually Craig's first wife after all...
