I was excited to read Gad Saad’s different perspective on political parties and the world today but had a really hard time attempting to read this. There was no sign of empathy. If I want to learn about who Gad has been in Twitter fights with, I’ll just continue following him on Twitter. Pretty dry and negative. Not for me although I appreciated a different perspective in the sections I was able to get through.
funny informative reflective fast-paced

Gad Saad is a Canadian professor of marketing, but he researches many different areas outside of his own expertise. This should be required reading on every college campus. Unfortunately those who really need to read this probably won't because they prefer to stay within their own echo chamber.
Perhaps my favorite quotes of the book: "Life is your trigger warning."
"All roads lead to self flagellation and self loathing; the hallmark of a true progressive."
"Progressivism has become the enemy of reason."

Feels like a must read in today's day and age.

It was OK, but shallow and biased. Lots of vaguely connected topics brought together by the unoriginal idea of a 'mind virus' (didn't Richard Dawkins coin the term 'meme' for this decades ago?) in order for the author to rant. Which he does do with eloquence and passion hence the 2 stars (an extra star taken for self-obsession though).

Quite funny at times and an interesting perspective comparing ideas to virus’s. Reminds me of the quote by Carl Jung “people don’t have ideas, ideas have people”.
Well researched, would recommend.

I wouldn’t agree with all the topics but no one can deny the need for freedom of speech and “the king’s clothes “ environment we live in .
challenging informative reflective medium-paced

Well researched, interesting, thought provoking read.

This was an easy listen on Audible and the author touches upon some very important topics that are occurring in society right now. Topics include cancel culture, virtue signaling, and other cultural shifts taking place. I would highly recommend for people on all different political spectrums to read this.

Important arguement. Sould have been an article instead of a book.

This book provides an overview of many problems we face in the world today with regards to free speech, and makes a good case for free-speech absolutism. Regardless of where you stand politically, I would challenge anyone to read this book and consider how you can do your part to protect the free flow of ideas. Free speech dies when people are afraid to speak up.
