not to be mean or anything but i really hated this book. i thought it was just chock full of trauma porn and it made me sick. i don't know what the whole point of this book was but it just tried too hard to make you wince in pain and disgust. i'm so disappointed because i love kawakami's writing. this just wasn't it for me. i wish i hadn't bought this but the cover was too pretty. regrets regrets.
