I had no idea what kind of story I was getting into when I started this one!
What a great build up with great back history and retelling from survivors the story the cult.
I'm not so sure I like then ending but...maybe? I may change my rating to higher after a while once I sit w/that ending!

Some real good spooky cult/supernatural scenes but about 200 pages too long with a mediocre ending.
rly great read n cool concept, super eerie at times but did kinda drag on for a while

This book was honestly so disappointing. I thought the book was pretty strong for about 3/4 of the book. Tense, creepy, and it left me wondering what was going to happen next. Then at the 3/4 mark we get WAY too much thrown at us, added plot points I felt were unnecessary, and all of the mystery and intrigue ripped from us. The last 70 pgs have the worst pacing I have ever read and I found myself rolling my eyes after every page. All in all, strong start, very weak ending.
DNF @ 25%. Couldn’t get into this, might return later.
