cuando empecé el libro no le tenía mucha fe por todas las reseñas que leí que leí que era difícil de entender pero me encontré una joya.
nan chan es una historia maravillosa, la trama espectacular si bien no es una historia con misterio en su trama porque te lo va diciendo todo a medida que vas leyendo los capítulos; lo bien que los personajes y la trama funcionan en sincronía es fenomenal, cada uno tiene su importancia, cada uno tiene su rol y cada uno presenta uno de los 8 sufrimientos. personalmente me gustaron todos los personajes cosa que casi nunca me sucede, los ame a todos aunque cang ji se ganó mi corazón.
la relación de los protagonistas es hermosa y dolorosa muy muy dolorosa, dos personajes que no se acuerdan de su pasado juntos pero que igual sienten esa atracción el uno por el otro en esta nueva vida, dos personas que son la debilidad del otro y aún así están dispuestos a dejarlos ser esa debilidad e incluso morir por ellos. vivan los esposos!!! <3

4.5 star-ish. although i have some complaints about the romantic development of the main couple, i was really immersed in the plot and it's characters. nan chan is probably one of the best cnovels i've read so far and i'm at a loss now that i've finished reading it. thanks lianyin for the amazing translation and for making it possible for me to get to know jing lin, cang ji and their story.

I tried reading it for the second time, but I guess it’s just not for me. I couldn’t get past the first 40 chapters, where the story supposedly gets better.
The problem for me lies in the fantasy elements and plot, which I didn’t find engaging enough. While I was curious about Jing Lin and Cang Ji, the rest of the story wasn’t compelling enough to keep me going.

This book was a mixed bag for me. I loved Cang Ji and Jing Lin (and all of their heartbreaking relationship moments), and most of the subplots about the eight sufferings were engaging. But I found the larger plots about the Blood Sea and Jing Lin’s father and brothers to be incredibly boring, and consequently I felt like this book dragged on forever. I appreciated the author’s intricate plotting, but unfortunately only about half the plot was anything I cared about.
