4⭐️ I hate to say it but I was really underwhelmed with this book. Yes it still deserves 4⭐️ but compared to the first 3, this one definitely fell short. I didn’t really like any of the plot lines in this book; e.g. Daisy and Tiller, Julian and Magnolia, Christian and Vanna etc. This book just didn’t really seem to have much going on and the plot just wasn’t as interesting. I also think the ending was a bit complicated and rushed. Hopefully the next one is better.
The first Daisy installment did take me a little bit to get into, but this one? I was hooked from the start. I loved the character development, the family bonds, the unexpected friendships, and the rebuilding of bridges that took place in this one. Unpopular opinion, but I also loved Magnolia and Julian together. I would much rather root for them than her and BJ...not even sorry.
Daisy is such a remarkable and multi-layered character. Seeing more glimpses into her past further amplified why she turned out to be the person she is today and how strong and resilient she truly is. Her relationship back and forths tore at my heart, but once she realized who she truly wanted and needed to be with, I was very content.
But Jessa!!!! Why with these endings that rip my heart in two?!? Meh...Onto the next!

WHEW. I fell into a bit of a reading slump, but we are officially back—and I’m now staring aimlessly at the wall, emotionally wrecked. A solid 4 stars.
First of all: this was Julian’s book. Prove me wrong.
And... what does it mean that I might like him and Magnolia more than BJ? Honestly, I don't know where I stand anymore—but what I do know is that I freaking love Magnolia. And Julian? I think I’ve fallen for the way he softens. His great undoing, if you will. Lol.
I’m completely in love with Jessa Hastings’ writing. It’s poetic and messy in the best way. Now, I just need the next Daisy Haites book ASAP. UGH.
Music of the read: Born to Die: Paradise Edition - Lana Del Rey & also randomly the song Crush by Ethel Cain
