Love it! Simple love story of friends to lovers. No crazy twist or sad turn. Kinda realistic fake dating plot. The tension was great the emotional connection was fabulous. I knew these two loved each other before they did. It definitely didn’t need to be as long as it was. And I wish we saw more of her job and getting the promotion.

Shawn and Lacey are so cute and I loved their friendship and the way they understood each other so well. I really did enjoy this book however a few parts made me full cringe (personal preferences, maybe you like them) and the kids all seemed younger than they supposedly were which bothered me a little. Lastly, it was SO LONG.  A handful of scenes (chapters, dare I say?) could’ve been cut without losing any of the story.  But overall thumbs up!

This book was absolute perfection, and Shawn Holmes is the new gold standard. Lacey and Shawn’s chemistry was felt through the pages, and there’s nothing like a sweet couple that gets down and dirty. Extra points for no third act breakup as well. The fact that this was set during the holidays was the icing on the cake. Really looking forward to the next book in this series!

I really liked this book I thought it was really cute and an easy read. I loved their friendship and the characters clearly had a lot of chemistry. I really enjoyed seeing them fall in love while everyone around them saw how obvious it was. These two make a really good pair and they know exactly how to show each other the love that they need. I also appreciate that there isn’t a third act break up in this book or the rest of the series because it makes it a sweet and cozy read. This book is great if you’re looking for something cozy and spicy that has no angst.

Gosh, another 4 stars. I haven’t read a football book in a looooong time that I’ve enjoyed so much. I totally dig the head coach angle (haven’t read one of those) and appreciate the FMC and MMC not being 22. She def has spice, but it’s still way more about the story IMO. Totally loving finding a new sports author!
