This book was absolute perfection, and Shawn Holmes is the new gold standard. Lacey and Shawn’s chemistry was felt through the pages, and there’s nothing like a sweet couple that gets down and dirty. Extra points for no third act breakup as well. The fact that this was set during the holidays was the icing on the cake. Really looking forward to the next book in this series!

I really liked this book I thought it was really cute and an easy read. I loved their friendship and the characters clearly had a lot of chemistry. I really enjoyed seeing them fall in love while everyone around them saw how obvious it was. These two make a really good pair and they know exactly how to show each other the love that they need. I also appreciate that there isn’t a third act break up in this book or the rest of the series because it makes it a sweet and cozy read. This book is great if you’re looking for something cozy and spicy that has no angst.
Gosh, another 4 stars. I haven’t read a football book in a looooong time that I’ve enjoyed so much. I totally dig the head coach angle (haven’t read one of those) and appreciate the FMC and MMC not being 22. She def has spice, but it’s still way more about the story IMO. Totally loving finding a new sports author!

“Healthy communication goes a long way.”
Review:
A friends to lovers sports romance? Sign me up. The love Shawn and Lacey shared as friends really transitioned into their relationship they had when it became more than friends. I liked the communication. I also love a little fake dating action. The found family in this book is also really beautiful and I love it. Looking forward to reading more.
“You make it impossible to stay away,”
It was really nice to have characters who are in their thirties and forties.
This was fun and nice friends to lovers/fake romance/friends with benefits.
It was refreshing to not have it me a miscommunication trope, and it was nice having them blossom

This book was ok. I enjoyed the romance and spice but it honestly felt like it lasted forever. It's not actually 18h long. More like 12 1/2 and then there's a bonus novella. Tbh, I felt like this book lasted longer than it needed to. It felt like the author had thought up 5 different endings and couldn't decide which one she liked best so she just kept writing. It was cute, but it really didn't need to be so long.
