Didn’t hook me. Characters were not interesting.

I got to the first spicy scene and realized I didn't care about the wellbeing of any character in this book. Also, I can already tell this book is WAYYY too long. I was literally five hours in, and so much, yet so little, had already transpired.
Last thing, the spice was not hot enough for me to care about future scenes.
