Interesting story but the main character was obnoxious and the rest of the cast was boring as well.
Never read or watched Soul Eater so I didn't have to compare. Apparently, this is a prequel to that series. Feel like there are some nuances I'm missing but overall it's nice going in blind. That being said, this is a pretty run-of-the-mill series that I've read and watched before. Even so, I was hooked from the start and enjoyed the rest of the volume. It's nothing special, but it's entertaining. The only thing that stands out is that these characters are not in school but are now out of the academy and working a job. I think I'll continue to see where the story goes. That or I might have more fun just watching the anime.
A well illustrated manga with an intriguing plot based around fire powers and spontaneous human combustion. It has a great and interesting group of characters with the usual protagonist that seeks to learn the truth behind a past trauma which I don’t mind because I tend to always enjoy this trope. Overall I’m intrigued to see where the story goes and how the characters and their backstories will develop.
I think this was a very solid first volume. I really enjoyed how fun and unique the story was. I will definitely be checking out the rest of this series. I would say my rating is more of a 4.5 stars, and I really wavered between giving it a five stars. I think there was only one thing that threw me off in this volume, the girl at the very end. Other than her the characters are awesome!
This starts with action, flame people, fights scenes, and creepy smiles!!! This manga is an underdog story that I need in my life! If you love Naruto, Black clover, FMA, and One Piece, then this is the manga for you!!!
