I’m rounding up to 4⭐️, but this book is really a 3.5. The odd “Mail order bride” thing was handled poorly in my opinion. Maybe I’m being sensitive, but between the bad English, the hidden child, the fake marrying the brother and weird subservience… I’m conflicted.

A little sad I didn't enjoy this as much as the first one, but still lovely all the same.

Great series about what autism really looks like in individuals. Spicy at times but tastefully written. Lovable characters! I wanted more!

Had to reread this in preparation of The Heart Principle coming out next week! It’s probably a 4.2 stars for me, the whole book was so enjoyable but the ending felt super rushed. I felt like as a reader, we didnt get much closure between Esme and her dad and Khai and Jade.

Unpopular opinion: this is better than The Kiss Quotient.

Good book, but no kiss quotient.
Looking forward to next book from this fantastic author. Really great characters. Wish Stella came back more as I wanted more from them

Lol this was so cringey, especially on audio. I appreciated the book's diverse representation through Asian characters and a main character with autism, but the story itself is extremely lackluster. I love a good steamy scene, and this book has MANY, but this is one instance where there are too many, in my opinion, and the execution of them made me more uncomfortable than anything else. I'd typically chalk it up to the audiobook narrator, but there was just something about the writing that made me cringe. The worst parts were when Esme and Kai first met, and he just constantly kept getting erections around her...it was to the point where I couldn't help but scream "WE GET IT" at my phone.
Though I felt empathy for the main characters and their individual issues/situations, I did not feel connected to them in any way. It's a very predictable romance, which didn't bother me, but I couldn't care less whether they succeeded or not in their personal endeavors.
