Slow-paced in the beginning, and slightly harder to get through the novel because of the language (Early Modern English), but otherwise, was a phenomenal read

this is the most tiring book I've read in a while. it has been overhyped by so many people and I really thought that I would enjoy it bc I love gothic themes but please, this was EXHAUSTING 😫. Dorian Gray was maybe the worst and mostly unrelatable character in the book. I clearly get that he is a narcissist who only cares about his beauty, but I have the secret feeling that he might also have some bipolar disorder cuz how can you be two-faced 1 sec thinking about doing one thing and the second declining like what??? I also hated lord Henry. huge yapper, sexist, and a b*tch. I'm not sorry. It took me a long time to finish, definitely a slow read for me

Oscar Wilde is the only person I’ll excuse for using the kill your gays trope
